Eastern Bloc
From 2014-2018 Rodriguez worked as the Technical Director, Lab Director, and Co-Director of Eastern Bloc, an artist-run centre dedicated to presenting emerging media art, located in Montreal QC.
Some of the projects which he curated or co-curated include the international digital and media art festival Sight + Sound, the exhibition Amplification, the radio program and intervention series PirateBlocRadio, as well as the educational workshop programing for the Eastern Bloc Lab.
Acoustic Mirror
Acoustic Mirror is a streaming concert and experimental broadcast series entitled after a device used to cast and focus sound over great distances. The series emulates this phenomena by creating a point of reflection for musicians and sound artists wherever sound may reach.
Over 4 episodes the series has brought together the artists Philippe Battikha, Tim Shaw, Esther Bourdages, Chienvoler, Kelly Ruth, Patrick Breiner, Gambletron, Steve Bates, and Luke Stewart. The archives can be streamed at www.acousticmirror.net.
Ibrida*Pluri
Ibrida*Pluri is a multidisciplinary festival that gathers different structures & artist collectives with diverse practices and offers new encounters and collaborations. The first edition was presented in 2015 with the most recent version being presented in 2019 in collaboration with Suoni per il Popolo.
